Frequently Asked Questions

Because no two experiences are the same, no two sessions are the same. However, at its core, therapy typically involves open discussion and the sharing of personal experiences in a confidential space during an in-person or secure online appointment. This can include setting goals, identifying values or patterns, learning new coping skills, expressing concerns or fears, processing trauma, and/or sharing complex thoughts or feelings. Whatever you need, we are right there with you to help guide the process.

Only you will know the answer to the first question. To help guide you in figuring out the start of therapy and the best modality, we offer a free 15-minute consultation. Simply contact our office to schedule yours during regular business hours.

For groups or companies interested in facilitating mental health support, we offer public speaking seminars, where our licensed professionals will cover topics such as: stress management, self-care, signs/symptom recognition for various conditions, vicarious trauma, and trauma-informed care. Additional topics may also be provided by request.

We are firm believers that the “fit” between you and your therapist is one of the most influential factors in whether or not therapy will be effective. If you feel as though therapy isn’t helpful or your therapist isn’t a good fit, we encourage you to talk openly about it with your therapist. Sometimes an honest discussion can help the two of you adjust treatment to better meet your needs. Other times, connecting you to another therapist may be most helpful. We’re here to figure it out together, ensuring you’re comfortable and getting the most out of each session.

While we do not accept insurance, we can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company to see if you qualify for reimbursement of services. The current rate for individual sessions range from 150-250.

Extending from one point to another, arches symbolize non-linear progress. As a company name, we hope Archway serves as a reminder that healing and moving through life isn’t a linear, “one size fits all” journey. To us, Archway reflects an ongoing commitment to showing up for our clients as a source of strength and support.
Fun fact: “Archie” is also the name of Dr. Maggie’s first born!
